🌎 #WITWW greetings from the historic town barracks in Frederick, MD. Talk about being a witness to history! Its life has included being a POW camp during both the American Revolution and War of 1812; a Civil War hospital; and part of the Maryland School for the Deaf.

🌎 The tagline for this #WITWW location is "Shaping American history since 1777." Turns out that its construction for use in the American Revolution made it the first building erected for the new state of Maryland! Where was Yonder? We'll return at 5pm with the answer.

🎨🐕 Quaker preacher/folk artist Edward Hicks completed ~130 paintings in his lifetime, and "Leedom Farm" was his last. In this detail of that 1849 piece, there's a lone #ArtfulPup amidst the menagerie of farm animals. The work is at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum.
