"Child with Hoop" just so happens to include a playful #ArtfulPup as well! This circa 1850 piece by traveling portraitist Joseph Whiting Stock is at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg, VA.
This #WITWW, Yonder was in Shepherdstown, WV. This building was intended to be the town hall, but in its unfinished state was commandeered for a Civil War hospital in the wake of the Battles of South Mountain & Antietam. Today, the edifice is known as McMurran Hall @Shepherdu.
